Update from the Elite gang

After a very hectic but productive January, it is safe to say that the CUMBRIANS ELITE project is up and running!

The response from supporters has been fantastic so far and we have seen the membership rise steadily in this first month. We now have nearly forty teams registered to play and the results of  the January Task/challenge will be revealed soon.

Teams were asked to design their own crest/badge and tell us a little about each member of their team. This information will appear on their own team pages on the website over the next couple of weeks as well as our first prize winners. Watch this space.

The February task has now been added to the site and we cannot wait to read your ideas and suggestions throughout the month.

There are a number of other features and articles on the website that may appeal to you.

In the Q&A section we have interviews with Paul James, United fanatic and recent Countdown winner.

We talk to Joanne Strong of JK Photography – the first business lady to come forward with an exclusive offer for Cumbrians Elite members . She tells us all about herself, her love of photography and her family links with CUFC.

We also have an interview with 'The Boys in Blue', our first team to register from outside of Carlisle.

With the amount of support the club receives from across the county and beyond, I hope we have the chance to speak to supporters from near and far over the next few months.

Would you like us to run a feature on your team? If so, please send us an email and we will see what we can do.

In the TALK section we have a number of new articles covering topics as diverse as falling in love (with your football club) to computer game addiction not to mention an introduction to Jimmy – our cuddly, nomadic fox.

The TALK section is a platform for you to share your stories, anecdotes and good news.

Do you have something you want to get off your chest? Perhaps you have heard a funny football related story or maybe you just want to tell us something about a place you have visited/worked or a special person you know who deserves a bit of recognition.

Come on, get writing and brighten our day.

In the COMMUNITY tab we aim to populate this section with news and views from schools, colleges, clubs and groups from around the county.

Email us and tell us about any good work going on around Cumbria. If you are hoping to stage any events, fairs or public meetings just let us know and we will try and give you some publicity through the site. We will do what we can to help promote all the good that is happening all over Cumbria.

Finally, the business community are doing their bit to help our members.
