TEAM BRANDT: Supporting a fighter

30 December 2012

Lads sign up for Team Brandt

Carlisle United Football Club are pleased to announce their support for a fantastic little fighter by the name of Brandt Ballenger.

Frank Simek's sister-in-law's nephew, Brandt, was diagnosed with a pediatric kidney cancer called Wilms Tumor on 29 October 2011 at only 7 years old.

What should have been six months of treatment has turned into over a year of chemotherapy, two rounds of radiation treatment, six months of anticoagulant therapy for a blood clot, numerous blood and platelet transfusions, several hospital stays due to complications, as well as weekly outpatient visits to the Costas Center at Cardinal Glennon Hopital in St Louis, Missouri.

Due to a recent development, Brandt will now need to undergo an additional aggressive chemotherapy treatment.

We're all determined to cheer Brandt up as much as we can and you can help us with that ... all you have to do is simply pop along to his Facebook page and add your very own like.

Come show your support - click HERE to add your like for Brandt on his very own Team Brandt Facebook page!
