McGovern ahead of the visit of the Blades
Midfielder Jon-Paul McGovern spoke to us ahead of the visit of Sheffield United about the need for consistency and a few good results to put some smiles back on faces."Training has been good this week," he said. "It's been done at a really high tempo and the manager has made it clear on what it is he wants us to do.
"We never like losing but what we have to remember is that it's a long season. There'll be some good results and some bad results and obviously last weekend didn't go our way. That's why we want to bounce back this weekend against Sheffield United."
"There are a number of factors which decide whether you have a good season or not," he explained. "Consistency is definitely the key and that's something we want to address throughout the Christmas period.
"On a personal level playing clubs from Sheffield is always a bit special. I've got family over there and I had a good time when I was in that area. I managed to play for both clubs and the fans over there are all top drawer.
"However, I'm playing for Carlisle United and I'm looking for a result for us this weekend. I think it's very important that we give our own fans something to cheer about so hopefully we'll do that with a good result and a good win."
