Comfortable way to open the season

First half goals from Tom Berwick and Greg Peel were complemented by a second half strike for substitute Jamie Clarey as United opened their league campaign with three goals, a clean sheet and a thoroughly deserved three points against a toothless Accrington Stanley side.

Eric Kinder said: "It's the way we wanted to start our season off and we looked like a decent side.

"We worked hard and we got our goals and the only disappointing thing was that we didn't score a few more.

"It sets us up nicely for what will be a tough game next weekend against Preston."

Full reaction from the youth team boss to follow.
