Carlisle United Community Sports College are currently seeking aqualified and experienced GCSE English and Functional skills tutor,to deliver provision at our Community Sports College to our 16-18year old BTEC students.
Our GCSE English provision is held on Monday and Thursday afternoons 4pm-5:30pm.
Functional Skills English provision is held on Monday evenings 4pm-5:30pm.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant subject area or appropriate professional qualification
- Recognised teaching qualification.
- Successful teaching experience in the relevant subject area.
- Knowledge of and proven ability to deliver the curriculum successfully.
- Demonstrate a learner centred approach to teaching and learning.
- Availability on the above days and times.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in understanding and mastering key GCSE English and Functional skills topics.
- Provide guidance on exam strategies and techniques.
- Help with homework, assignments, and exam preparation.
- Complete reviews of learner progress towards achievement of individual learning goals
- Ensure provision is aligned with the LFE best practice
