Striker Georgie Kelly spoke to us shortly after he signed at Brunton Park on Thursday evening.
“I’m delighted to be here and get it over the line," he said. "I’m just looking forward to the next few months and trying to help us stay up. It’s been a long enough process so I’m delighted to get in the door.
"I’m really excited by the direction the club is going in with the new owners. The passion the gaffer has for the place really came across when I spoke to him. There’s a real buzz around the club at the minute so it was a no brainer.
"I just want to play minutes and chip in with a few goals. I’m a bit hustle bustle. I’m a big, awkward centre forward who will run, work hard and hopefully score a few goals.
“I obviously know JJ from Rotherham but I also know Sean Grehan. He was a kid when I was at Bohemians.
"I also know Sean Maguire from when he was in Ireland. It’s good that there’s a few Irish lads but I’m sure all of the lads here will help me settle in quickly.
“I've got a three-and-a-half-year deal so I’m committed to this club now and I just want to enjoy my time here and help us progress."
