Academy players, parents and coaches observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect to remember those who have lost their lives in service of their country at the academy fixtures on the 12 November.
The club also invited veterans to the Academy on Thursday 9 November to speak to academy players, parents and coaches about their experiences, such as the teamwork involved in the armed services, before then doing a Q&A.
Academy Manager Simon Friel said: “It was great to have the veterans join us at the Academy and for the boys to have an opportunity to learn about their experiences.
"Thanks to the veterans who gave up their time to talk to the lads and to Andy Hall for helping organise the veterans to come along.”
