29 March 2024

After four consecutive home games, the Under-18s are on the road on Saturday morning as they face Bolton Wanderers in the Youth Alliance League.

Following last weekend's 3-2 defeat against Blackpool, Mark Birch's side will be aiming to get back on track with five league games remaining.

Anton Dudik and James Walsh were United's goalscorers against the Tangerines.

After the loss, United have slipped down to 10th in the table on 23 points after playing 21 games.

A look at the opposition: Bolton Wanderers

Bolton are second in the Youth Alliance League on 42 points after 21 games played.

Over the course of the season, they have picked up 13 wins with three draws and five losses. Wanderers are five points behind league leaders Preston North End.

Last time out, Bolton defeated Wrexham 2-0 away from home. Prior to this, they'd also picked up victories against Port Vale and Morecambe, whilst drawing against Walsall.

In the reverse fixture in August, Bolton ran out 3-0 winners against United at Creighton.
