Blues Store receives award for excellence in service
The Carlisle United Blues Store was the proud recipient of the Football League ‘Happy Shopper’ award this month following secret shopper visits which rated the facility as ‘proactive, engaging and extremely welcoming.’
The Family Excellence mini-awards, which includes the ‘Happy Shopper’ award, are ways for the Football League to provide recognition to clubs for excelling across various areas of the family visits they all receive.
The mini-awards are a chance to reward those staff who have gone the extra mile within a number of areas picked up on by the mystery family visit.
Football League Customer Services Officer Andy Pomfret said: “The assessors and judging panel were particularly impressed with just how friendly and attentive the club shop staff had been when the family visited.
“On both occasions they were made to feel extremely welcome, were proactively offered assistance and felt the range of items on display was engaging and interesting for parents and children alike.
“All in all the family heartily recommended the Blues Store experience at Brunton Park and were self-proclaimed ‘Happy Shoppers’.”
Retail manager Jenny Anderson said: “We are obviously delighted that we received this award from the Football League.
“We pride ourselves in our customer service and it’s good for the staff that it’s been recognised in this way. We’re looking forward to another busy summer, particularly with the fact we have new stock arriving all the time.
“Everyone is always welcome to pop along and see us and, as ever, we will help to find what they want as much as we can.”
