A second batch of 100 tickets has been donated to the #GoodVibrations ticket donation scheme today, and this time it’s the pupils at the William Howard School in Brampton who will feel the benefit, courtesy of local company Thomas Graham.
Roger Smith, managing director with Thomas Graham, contacted the club as soon as the initiative was launched to pledge the support of his company, having done exactly the same for the MK Dons fixture last season.
Thomas Graham are regular match sponsors, and also provide help and support ‘under the radar’ having replaced the ‘Big Blue’ gates at the south end of the paddock and produced steel roof fixings for the west stand, to name but a few of the projects they’ve supported in recent seasons.
Club secretary Sarah McKnight said: “We were on a whistle-stop tour of businesses in the Carlisle area as more and more people got in touch to ask if they could help with the #GoodVibrations promotion.
“Roger nominated William Howard, which is fantastic, and we’ll be delivering the tickets on his behalf this week. He also took some of the posters we’ve produced to put up in his staff areas, and it’s great that such a big company has demonstrated their support in this way.
“Thomas Graham are long-standing supporters of the club and, again, this helps strengthen the bond between what is a well-known and respected local company and the club.”
“I’m delighted that we at Thomas Graham have been able to support the #GoodVibrations initiative,” Roger confirmed. “Carlisle United is at the heart of the community, and you can feel a difference around the city and the region when results are going well.
“Chris Beech has come in and his approach has given everyone a lift. This ticket promotion should help to keep that feel-good factor rolling along, and it’s fantastic that we have been able to give tickets to a school that is also at the heart of one of our local communities.
“I’m sure #GoodVibrations will be another success, and hopefully the performances and results will continue to come as we head towards the end of the season.”
