Keeper Mark Gillespie came through the Youth ranks at Brunton Park and was rewarded for his efforts at U18 and Reserve level with a one-year contract.
He made his debut when he came off the bench to play the last 5 minutes of the game against Norwich at Carrow Road in May 2010.
A successful loan spell in the north east with Blyth Spartans led to a second year within the ranks of the professionals at Brunton Park, with his deal extended yet further, until June 2015, following more impressive displays.
He made the number one spot his own in season 12/13 and was the regular starting choice until a knee injury left him on the sidelines.
He became the club’s longest serving player when he was offered a new contract at the end of the 14/15 season, taking him into a sixth year with the Blues.
More solid displays earned him a further deal which keeps him at Brunton Park until the summer of 2017.
