Carlisle United's Youth team have been hit by their fifth postponement of the season as their weekend trip to Burnley has been called off due to the bad weather and low temperatures this week.

The Clarets carried out a pitch inspection today and, with the thermometer expected to dip below zero again tonight, have taken the early decision to postpone the game.

Eric Kinder said: "Obviously we're disappointed but I think it's fair to say this one was expected.

"I'll keep the lads with me on Saturday morning and we'll find somewhere to train as we make sure we keep things ticking over. Postponements are never ideal but all you can do is take it on the chin and get on with it as well as you can."
