Eric Kinder spoke to us about the 2-1 home defeat against Shrewsbury Town:
"I thought this was a disappointing performance. They came and showed more enthusiasm and more desire, and that isn't acceptable.
I hate it when one of my teams plays like that. They were better than us all over the pitch and we didn't deserve anything from the game at all.
I was disappointed with our self discipline and we ended up with a player sent off and two booked.I won't have that in any of my sides. I don't like players getting sent off for lifting their hands, whether they do anything or not.I also don't like players getting booked for petulant fouls, so they will have to learn about that lot quickly.
Strangely enough we got off to a great start, even though we hadn't been over the half way line until we scored. We broke quickly and Bowman finished it off with a superb strike, but that in itself is a problem for us. If he doesn't score, we don't score, and we have to find a way past that.
We were always on the back foot even though we went ahead. They equalised when we left one of their big lads on his own in the box and he had a long time to decide where to put it. We do a lot of work on defending and we forgot it all in that incident.
Bowman should have put us ahead shortly after the break but it was a poor miss from him. They got about us and they were very professional in the way they controlled the game. They slowed it down and made it very hard for us.
We had no tempo about our game and we were out of it when they scored their second. We hardly completed a tackle in midfield all day and we didn't get close enough.
We're going to get this with this group. We're going to see the odd victory and that will be followed by really disappointing results. They have some growing up still to do and a good few of them still haven't realised how much work is needed if it's going to be successful for them.
We won't threaten the top two, and I expect that we'll be in the middle pack somewhere as we continue to talk about inconsistency."
