The United Youth team earned a hard fought draw against the Motherwell U19 side up in Scotland today with some strong defensive play in the first half, and some enterprising attacking football after the break.

Coach Eric Kinder said: "It's a good result, but you realise that it is an even better one for us when you take in to account the fact that the Youth team captain is in complete disarray, having been dumped by his girlfirend, by text message no less, last night. Full credit to the lad though, he hasn't let it affect his performance at all, and he gave me yet another excellent display as my team captain."

Only joking Tom - Eric insisted that it should be mentioned!
