Eric Kinder has found two more pieces for his 2008/09 Youth jigsaw by capturing the signatures of north-eastern youngsters Mark Gillespie and Liam Davison.

Kinder explained: "Davison is a centre forward, who can also play in midfield, and he has spent some time with Hartlepool, Leeds and Doncaster, as well as at the Newcastle United Academy. He has had a look at the other clubs, but he has opted to come with us, with is excellent news."

"Mark Gillespie is a keeper, and we're bringing him in directly form the Newcastle Academy," he continued. "We've had both lads over to see the place, we've also had a chance to look at them, and we're happy to bring them in. The Newcastle staff speak very highly of both of them, and I think they will be a massive plus for our set up."

"As I say, people that I know in the north-east have kept me informed about these lads," he said, "and as soon as I found out that they might be available, I followed up on it. I spoke to people who have seen them play, and they both come with glowing references. They are impressive young men, and we're looking forward to working with them both."

Gillespie and Davison add to the spring captures of Bowman, Law and Wood, but the Youth team Boss told us that things may not stop there. He added: "There may still be one or two more, especially if the players that I am looking at confirm their interest. A couple more would make things really comfortable for us, and that's a situation that we would like to be in."
