Dave Wilkes fills us in on another decent performance from the Youth team:

"In the first half we were very much in control, in terms of possession.

They scored first though, with a set piece against the run of play.

It was disappointing, but I always felt reasonably confident that we would get something out of the game.

In the second half, after a lot of pressure from us, we started to create some real chances.

Both Steve Hindmarch and Gary Madine had one on ones, which they missed, but heads didn't drop and we kept the tempo up.

We eventually got what we deserved when Matt Brown put one away. He found himself spare on the edge of the area, and he scored with a great strike to give us the equaliser.

After that Steve HIndmarch had three one on ones with the keeper, and he put two wide of the post and the keeper saved one. He was unlucky, because he'd worked hard to get himself in to those positions in the first place.

We kept going right to the end, and about three minutes from time we broke down the right. Matt Brown was involved again, and he found John Seaton in space. He threaded a lovely pass on to Gary Madine, who whipped it in to the box for Steve Hindmarch to score at the far post.

It was a deserved win and, on chances created, we created around four to their one. If we hadn't won I would have been really disappointed but, as I say, full credit to the lads for keeping it going for the full 90 minutes."

Team: Mitchell, Brown, Aldred, Wordsworth, Duffy, Seaton, Wood (Law), Blake (Lakeland), Tinnion, Hindmarch, Madine.
