Carlisle United's season ticket holders have taken full advantage of their first priority sales day today, with the earliest of the fans settled in on their fold away seats at 8.10am this morning ... a full two hours ahead of the ticket office official opening time.

At 5pm this evening 2,117 tickets had been snapped up for the mouthwatering tie against Premier League giants Everton in the New Year with a steady flow of interest maintained throughout the day.

Operations manager Nigel Dickinson said: "We are delighted with the initial response and the general mood has been very upbeat, with our ticket office staff enjoying some good banter with the fans. The queues have been steady all day and, with the office open until 7pm tonight, we expect to catch a few more people as they come out of work."
