SEASON TICKETS - SPREADING THE COST
The deadline is appproaching for Carlisle United fans to cash in on the club's easy-to-pay offer which makes season tickets available for adults from as little as £62 a month.
Supporters have until the end of this week to make arrangements to buy a season ticket over five equal monthly instalments, which will see all payments completed before December.
The staggered payments, which go out on the 13th of each month from July to November inclusive, spreads the cost for all fans in all parts of the ground, whether standing or sitting.
Seniors can pay as little as £45 a month, Juniors just £31 and children less than a tenner, all spread over five months. Family season tickets cost per month from £62 for one adult and two under-sevens up £111.60 for one adult and two juniors.
On top of this, supporters yet to buy a season ticket for the 2009-10 campaign will still be able to save up to £70 on normal match day admission prices over the Blues' 23-game League One home fixtures.
Chief executive David Allen said: "We know that the recession has made things more difficult for a lot of people but there are still some great deals available on season tickets for our supporters. The chance to pay over five simple monthly instalments certainly helps break down the cost of a season ticket into something much more manageable. We hope a lot of fans are able to take advantage of the offer. As we have said before, every season ticket we sell strengthens the club's hand financially."
Blues fans have so far snapped up 1,887 season tickets, which is now just 675 short of last season's final total of 2,562 sales, excluding half-season tickets bought around Christmas and complimentaries for sponsors.
David added: "To be at this stage with almost six weeks to go until the start of the new season - and before the players have even reported back for training - is a remarkable show of faith by the club's supporters. It is even more so after such a disappointing campaign last season and when you consider that the previous year's season ticket sales were the second highest in our history."
Season ticket prices for the 2009-10 campaign are the same as last season. In fact, this is the third successive year that season tickets prices at brunton Park have been frozen.
Fans wanting to buy a season ticket by instalments for the new campaign have to complete an application form and a standing order instruction with all the relevant bank details. The two forms can be obtained by:
+ Calling in at the ticket office at Brunton Park
+ Telephoning 0844 371 1921
+ Emailing enquiries@carlisleunited.co.uk
+ Faxing 01228 554 141
+ Writing to Carlisle United FC ticket office, Brunton Park, Warwick Road, Carlisle, Cumbria CA1 1LL
The deadline to pay by instalments is this Friday, July 3, which will allow the club and the bank involved to set up the standing order mandate in time for the first payment to come out on July 13. Subsequent payments will be made on August 13, September 13, October 13 and November 13. There is no additional charge for fans who pay for their season tickets by instalments.
The Blues kick off the League One campaign by welcoming League Two champions Brentford to Brunton Park on Saturday August 8. Adult season tickets cost £310 to stand or £390 to sit. For seniors it is £225 or £265, for juniors £155 or £180 and for children £45 or £65. Family season tickets range from £310 to £678.
