EARLY BUY DEADLINE 5PM TODAY!
Posted on: Fri 12 Jun 2009
Carlisle United fans with an eye for a bargain have until 5pm today to pick up season tickets at reduced prices.
The club's Early Buy offer, which offers discounts of up to £30 on the normal cost of a season ticket, runs out at the close of business this afternoon.
A further 158 United supporters took advantage of the special deal yesterday by purchasing cut-price season tickets, which are currently available from just £280 for adults or as little as £40 for children.
It took the total sold so far to 1,660, which means the Blues can today expect to move within 1,000 of last season's final figure of 2,700, which was the second highest in their history.
And that is with nearly two months still to go before the 2009-10 season kicks off on Saturday August 8.
Chief executive David Allen said: "Season ticket sales have been very encouraging so far and we expect a lot more business today right up to the 5pm deadline. We would like to thank the fans for their tremendous support which is absolutely crucial to the club's finances. Every season ticket we sell strengthens the club's hand."
Season tickets can save fans up to £180 on the normal match day admission prices for all 23 home League One fixtures. That is the equivalent of between five and nine free games.
United have already frozen season ticket prices for the the third year running. Supporters can also spread the cost by paying over five installments, which works out at less than £60 a month for adults before today's 5pm deadline.
Season tickets for adults cost £280 to stand or £360 to sit if bought today, rising to £310 or £390 respectively afterwards. The same prices apply to family membership for one adult and up to two children. For seniors, season tickets currently cost £205 or £250, rising to £225 and £265. Juniors are priced £145 or £160, rising to £160 and £185. Children are £40 or £60, rising to £45 or £65.
The League One fixtures for the new campaign are published next Wednesday, with former Premier League outfits Norwich, Southampton and Charlton among United's new opponents.
Season tickets can be purchased by calling in at the ticket office at Brunton Park or by ringing its direct line on 0844 371 1921 or by emailing ticket.printing@carlisleunited.co.uk.
