The Carlisle United reserve team travelled down to Blackburn for their latest fixture this afternoon and they came from behind on three occasions to earn a draw from a very tight affair.
Rovers pounced on some hesitant defensive work from Carlisle early in the game to take the lead, but Paddy Madden equalised with a penalty when the referee spotted a handball inside the area.
The hosts edged in front again with a well-worked strike just after the break, but Carlisle were quickly back on level terms when Lance McGlen curled a deflected shot into the back of the net when he overlapped and cut inside from the left flank.
Blackburn regained the lead for a third time with a long range thunderbolt, but Madden was the hero of the hour when he went one-on-one with five minutes left to play. He drew the keeper and slotted it beneath his dive to earn his side a well-deserved draw.
Manager Greg Abbott and coach Eric Kinder watched the game, and Kinder explained: "It was another very good game. Both teams played some good football and they had a decent side out. We looked good in spells, but so did they, so it was probably a fair result."
