CUFC Reserves 3 (Bridge-Wilkinson 57, Bowman 61, Cook 84) OAFC Reserves 0 - FT

United - Pidgeley, Kane, Kavanagh, Swinglehurst, Lakeland (Osmond 85), Rothery, Bridge-Wilkinson, Burns, Gibson (Cook 79), Uwezu, Bowman. Subs - Gillespie, Richardson, Towler.

Oldham - Ollerenshaw, Strickland, Mellor (Hughes 58), Rowney, Johnson, Platt, Colbeck, MA Carr (Guy 73), Alessandra, Bembo-Leta, Steer. Subs - White, Kidd, MD Carr.

1548 - So the ref brings the game to an end and that's United's Reserve campaign to a close for the current season with a clinical second half performance. That's the final minute by minute of the season, keep an eye out on the official site over the next few months for details on the pre-season fixtures.

FULL-TIME - CUFC Res 3 OAFC Res 0

89 min - Good ball by Cook sees Uwezu show great pace to get to the ball. He holds off Steer before getting to the byline and chipping a cross to Bowman at the far post who takes a touch before smashing a volley wide of goal.

85 min - Second change for United as a limping Simon Lakeland comes off for Matt Osmond.

84 min - GOAL! CUFC Res 3 OAFC Res 0 - United are away down the left and Andy Cook has Uwezu in a central position unmarked but he advances for and thumps it into the bottom corner with a very tidy finish.

83 min - From the corner, Burns finds Kav 30 yards out but he takes a touch and scuffs his shot well wide. From the counter, Colbeck is away down the left but is fouled by Kav and the ref gives a free-kick. Colbeck had actually got away and lets the referee know what he thinks of the decision (I can't put what he said as it was pretty industrial language!)

82 min - Good play by Bowman on the left sees Bowman beat his man on the left before hitting a shot that Ollerenshaw does well to tip the ball over the bar.

81 min - Corner on the right wing for United is whipped in by Burns and Kane gets on the end of it but he heads well over the bar. Good chance for a third goal there.

79 min - United make their first change and a tired looking Billy Gibson comes off for Andy Cook. He'll move up front with Uwezu with Bowman switching to the left wing.

78 min - Awful defending by Oldham sees Bowman win possession on the left wing. He advances down the wing before cutting inside and hitting a low shot from 25 yards that Ollerenshaw just about holds on to. Shortly after, Kane cuts in from the right and hits a low left foot shot that Ollerenshaw tips around the post.

75 min - Gibson is down with an injury and Reserve physio Geoff Haugh is on to give him some treatment. He's ran his socks off this afternoon has Gibson and it's all the more impressive when you consider he's had a chest infection since arriving up here.

73 min - Swinglehurst is fouled about 30 yards out on the left wing and it's a free-kick to United. Kav whips in the kick which Kane challenges for but it's easy for Ollerenshaw. Oldham make their second with Matthew A Carr coming off for Jon Guy.

63 min - Another corner for United as Uwezu's pressure forces Steer to play it behind. Burns takes one long to the far post but Ollerenshaw comes and confidently claims the ball.

61 min - GOAL! CUFC Res 2 OAFC Res 0 - United now looking comfortable as Burns' left footed inswinger is met by Bowman who nods his header into the bottom corner.

60 min - Corner for United among claims of a handball that are waved away by the officials. Burns plays it short and United keep possession for a while before winning another corner.

58 min - First change of the afternoon for Oldham as David Mellor comes off for Connor Hughes. Meanwhile, Bridge-Wilkinson has another crack at goal with a stunning left-foot volley but Ollerenshaw positioned himself well and plucked it out of the air.

57 min - GOAL! CUFC Res 1 OAFC Res 0 - Uwezu is pulled back about 25 yards out and it's a free-kick to United. There's a few players standing over it but it's Marc Bridge-Wilkinson who steps up and curls a beauty into the back of the net, giving Ollerenshaw no chance.

55 min - United have the ball in the back of the net as Bowman volleys it over Ollerenshaw from 30 yards after being played in by Uwezu but the flag had long gone up for offside. Looked very tight.

50 min - Second chance of the half for United and that really should have been the opening goal. Gibson sends in a dangerous low cross from the left that ends up at Bowman at the far post but he stretches and can only direct it wide of the goal. Bowman's claiming he was pulled back but it was hard to tell whether he was from up here.

47 min - Uwezu is almost away down the left but a defender comes across to make a tackle and it's a corner to United. Gibson takes it but it goes over everyone and ends up back in the midfield battle.

1501 - Both teams are now back out on the pitch and with no changes made, United kick off the second half.

1446 - No added on time here at Brunton Park as the ref brings the first half to an end. Not too many clear cut chances here but United have dominated possession. Back soon with the second half action.

HALF-TIME - CUFC Reserves 0 OAFC Reserves 0

44 min - Corner to Oldham after Steer's cross is blocked by Swinglehurst. The corner in is cleared by Kane, who makes sure a second cross isn't possible.

42 min - Good play down the left again by Gibson, who cuts inside and plays it to Uwezu, who unmarked turns and hits a shot that flies well wide as the ball bobbled up before he hit it. Probably could have turned and got nearer goal there.

41 min - Best chance of the game so far falls to Billy Gibson after Uwezu lays it off for Rothery to hit a low cross but Gibson, arriving late at the far post, tries to sidefoot the ball with his right foot and puts it out for a goal kick from 3 yards out. I think his weaker foot is his right so we'll let him off there... maybe!

37 min - It's obvious who is the dangerman for Oldham as Colbeck shows a clever flick to get past Lakeland and he advances towards the byline but his last touch before the cross is poor and his low ball into the box is well intercepted by Kavanagh.

33 min - Rothery finds Gibson in a central position and he takes a touch before hitting a right-foot shot that bounces right up in front of Ollerenshaw who does well to hold it.

29 min - A chance for Colbeck who cuts inside from the right and hits a left-foot shot that Pidgeley holds onto with ease.

28 min - Gibson's flick finds Bowman who plays a clever ball to Uwezu. He's away down the left and hits a shot towards the near post that Ollerenshaw does well to push behind for a corner. Gibson takes it to Kavanagh who plays it back to him but his low cross is easily cleared away.

26 min - Oldham's right-winger Colbeck is starting to get into the game and throw a throw-in he wins, Strickland hits a cross off Lakeland and behind for a corner. Colbeck takes it deep to the far post and Lenny Pidgeley shouts early and claims it very confidently.

22 min - First attack for a while for Oldham as Colbeck gets away down the right before hitting a low cross that Alessandra tries to flick towards goal but Kavanagh blocks it and boots it clear to safety.

20 min - Most of the play has been down the left so far but this time it's Rothery with a chance as his block from an Oldham clearance falls nicely for him and he cuts inside from the right before hitting a low left foot shot that Ollerenshaw holds onto.

18 min - The two trialists are trying their hardest to impress and again it's Uwezu who shows great strength to win a corner on the left wing. Gibson takes the corner and it's long and high looking for Swinglehurst but his header down is easily claimed by Ollerenshaw.

15 min - Interestingly, Gibson is here due to a recommendation from his agent and also from former United player Danny Graham, who told him to get himself up for a trial as soon as he mentioned he had an opportunity to come here.

14 min - I think it's fair to say Gibson is trying his hardest to impress, as he goes charging down the middle of the pitch before hitting a shot from 30 yards but the ball bobbles up and it flies into the Waterworks End.

12 min - Gibson is starting to get into the game now as he turns well inside the area and gets to the byline before hitting a low cross that Latics keeper Ollerenshaw does well to claim with Uwezu sliding in.

10 min - Good play down the left by Billy Gibson, who gets to the byline before earning a corner off an Oldham defender. Gibson himself takes it but it comes to nothing.

8 min - Uwezu does well down the right to win United's first corner of the day. Michael Burns goes over and takes a left-footed inswinger that finds Steve Swinglehurst at the far post where he heads it back across goal but no-one's there to finish it off. Maybe could have gone for goal himself there.

7 min - Now Oldham have their first chance as Graham Kavanagh, playing in his regular reserve position of centre-back, heads out a cross for a corner. Unfortunately for Oldham, the corner is a shocker straight to Michael Burns on the edge of the area and he clears to safety.

5 min - First real chance of the afternoon comes to United as Gavin Rothery latches on to a flick on by Uwezu, holds off his man but ends up scuffing his shot wide of the post.

1359 - The two trialists featuring today are Michael Uwezu from Fulham and Billy Gibson from Watford. Both teams are now out and the game gets underway. Remember you can listen to the game if you're a United Player subscriber, details at the top of the page.

1358 - United's line-up today features a mix of first-team, young professionals and youth team players, as it has done for most of the season.

1352 - Afternoon everyone and welcome to today's minute by minute report for the final Reserve League game of the season against Oldham Athletic. United are unable to overhaul Wrexham at the top of the league but will finish in second. Today's line-up features two trialists for The Blues, more on that shortly. Today's teams are at the top of the page.
