Eric Kinder spoke to us about the 5-2 win over Blackpool on Monday:
"We wanted a response, especially from the senior players who were involved in that unacceptable performance against Manchester City last week, and I think we got that.
We went a bit younger tonight, with the reason being that two or three of the senior boys who were going to play had picked up little niggling knocks, so we decided against using them.
With the exception of Jeff Smith and Grant Smith, it was an inexperienced side. Even the other professionals that we had out there, Gary Madine, Darren Campion, Josh Gowling, Luke Joyce and Chris Howarth, they are all young lads.
I thought we dominated the game from start to finish.
We got a bit sloppy in the second half when we conceded the last goal, but that didn't really take the edge off it. That kind of thing can happen when you have a four goal lead.
Our goals were all good. I thought the young boys did well, and they can all be happy with how they played.
Connor Tinnion showed us he's got some skill, and I thought that Andy Cook battled away and proved to be a real handful.
He's a nervous lad for all the brash noise he makes around the place, and especially when he gets taken out of his little comfort zone. He takes a little bit of time to adjust in that kind of situation.
He just needed a goal, which didn't come, though I do think that if it had been a Youth Cup game he'd have got one. The three chances that came his way, if it had been at Youth team level he would have relaxed and smashed them in, but he tried to rush things in this one. He'll be alright though.
I thought Jonny Blake was good at right back, and Tom Aldred did really well beside Josh Gowling. It was also good to get Ryan Bowman on to the pitch. As a first year, that will have given him something else to think about.
Overall I was pleased with the way everyone went about things, and very pleased with the result."
