Experiened forward Jason Price joined United on a one-year deal in the summer of 2010 following a successful loan spell at the club.
The Pontypridd-born player has made over 450 appearances in his career so far and has won promotion from both League One and Two with several different clubs.
He began his professional career with Welsh side Swansea City, having previously played youth football at Aberaman Athletic. His versatility was a key assett from an early age, although he initially played as a right-back or right-midfielder for The Swans.
His first-team debut came in January 1997 as a late sub in a 2-0 win over Doncaster Rovers. He made just one more appearance that season and it wasn't until the following campaign that he established himself as a first team regular at the Vetch Field.
That second season saw Jason make 37 first-team appearances and his performances were enough to earn a call-up to the Wales U-21 side, earning the first of seven caps in April 1998 against Italy.

Having played most of that season as a right-back, he was pushed forward into a right-wing role the following season and scored 5 goals in 39 league games to help Swansea towards promotion, winning the Third Division title.
An injury to the regular right-back saw Price drop back into defence for the 2000/01 Division Two campaign and he enjoyed an almost ever present record that season. With his contract up in the summer, he opted to leave the club, signing a short-term deal with Brentford.
His spell in west London was a brief one though, as he left Griffin Park to move north to Tranmere Rovers in November 2001. It was at Prenton Park that he got his first taste playing as forward and he proved his versatility once again by netting 10 times in his opening 10 appearanes for the Wirral-based club. One of those goals came in a 6-1 hammering of United in the FA Cup.
He returned to a midfield role the following season but found his opportunities restricted by injury and with his contract up at the end of the campaign, opted to leave the club to join Hull City.

His time with the Tigers proved to be another successful spell in his career, kicking things off with a goal on his debut. He went on to score 10 goals, including the first hat-trick of his career against eventual champions Doncaster Rovers, and help the Yorkshire club secure promotion to League One.
Injury restricted his appearances in 2004/05 but he still played a part in helping the Tigers secure back-to-back promotions with another second place finish. Opportunities were again restricted in the Championship and he was allowed to leave the club to join League One side Doncaster Rovers in February 2006.
He proved a big hit with the Donny fans, scoring 10 goals in his first full season with the club and helping them to win the Football League Trophy with a 3-2 victory over Bristol Rovers at the Millennium Stadium. Unfortunately for Jason, he had to be subbed during the game after picking up an Achilles tendon injury that would rule him out of action for five months.

He made his return to first team action in September 2007 and barely missed a game as Rovers secured promotion to the Championship for the first time in over 50 years with a 1-0 win over Leeds United in the play-off final at Wembley.
Price played an important role in helping Doncaster establish themselves as a Championship club before joining Millwall on-loan in February 2009. He once again showed his ability to make an instant impact at a club by scoring a 90th minute winner on his debut for the Lions at Crewe Alexandra.
He scored twice more for the south London club before returning to Rovers at the end of the season. He was released that summer as his contract came to an end and was quickly snapped up on a one-year deal by Millwall.
His second spell at the New Den was a frustrating one as he found first team opportunities hard to come by due to the form of fellow forwards Steve Morison and Neil Harris. After a one-month loan spell at Oldham Athletic came to an end, Greg Abbott moved quickly to bring the Welshman to Brunton Park on-loan until the end of the season.

Like at Millwall and Hull, Price made a goal-scoring start to his United career by netting the winner in a 2-1 win over Colchester United. He went on to score 4 goals in 9 appearances for the Blues, including one against champions Norwich City on the final day of the season.
After the Lions secured promotion to the Championship via the play-offs, the fifth promotion of his career, Jason was released as his contract came to an end. It wasn't long before Abbott renewed his interest and signed him on a one-year deal.
Under contract until the summer of 2011.
