Striker Michael Bridges has joined Carlisle United for his second spell, this time on a one-year loan deal from parent club Hull City that ends in the summer of 2009.
The former England U21 striker, who moved to Leeds United from Sunderland for £5 million in July 1999, scored 12 goals in just 23 League Two appearances for the club during the 2005/06 title winning campaign and quickly caught the eye of many Championship scouts.
He moved to Hull from Cumbria for £350,000 at the end of the August 2006 transfer window, but returns to his old stamping ground hoping to recapture his stunning form and spearhead another promotion push.
