Forward Craig Curran joined United from fellow League One side Tranmere Rovers in the summer of 2010.
Liverpool-born Curran came through the youth ranks at Rovers, making his debut for the first team at the age of 17 in a 3-2 defeat at Bristol City.
In his next first team appearance, he made his mark by scoring the equaliser with his first touch in his home debut, a 2-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in April 2007.
As if that wasn't enough of an impact, on the final day of the 2006-07 season Curran broke the record for the youngest player to score a hat-trick for Tranmere, previously held by the legendary Dixie Dean. His 36-minute treble helped Rovers to a 3-1 win over Brentford.
The following season was Craig's first as a professional and he found himself used mostly as an impact substitute, with Rovers just missing out on the play-offs on the last day of the season at Scunthorpe United.
It wasn't until the 2009-10 season that he established himself as a first-team regular, showing his adaptability by also playing in a wide role as well as a central forward.
After helping Rovers avoid relegation to League Two, he decided to move to pastures new and agreed to move to Cumbria, joining United on a two-year deal.
Craig quickly established himself as a first team regular at Brunton Park, forming a good partnership up front with top scorer Gary Madine and chipping in with a few goals along the way, including a memorable strike to open his account for the Blues in a historic 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
His first season with the club saw him finish with 8 goals to his name as well as a Johnstone's Paint Trophy winners medal, playing the full ninety minutes of the 1-0 win over Brentford at Wembley Stadium.
Under contract until the summer of 2012.
Craig is sponsored by Pete Blue.
