Keeper Chris Howarth joined Carlisle, from Bolton Wanderers, initially on loan towards the end of the 2006/07 season, and made the move permanent in the summer of 2007.
A quick, confident keeper, who very much has his eye on the number 1 slot in the first team, he provides strong competition for the permanent job between the sticks.
