A product of the youth team, Dan Kirkup got his first place on the bench for the Conference Cup game against Runcorn in the 2004/05 season, and played the full 120 minutes in the following round v Morecambe.

Playing as a centre half he has been a regular in the Youth team and has also gained experience in the Reserves. At 6' 3" he has proved to be a handful at both ends of the pitch.A loan spell with Conference side Southport last season gave him valuable experience at first team level and he is looking forward to being involved in League 1 football

Dan has taken a four month loan spell at Clyde from the end of August 2007.

Under contract until the summer of 2008.
