Free agent Vincent Pericard joined Carlisle until 12 January 2010 mid way through October and made an immediate impact with a goal on his home debut.
He first came to England when he signed for Portsmouth on-loan from Juventus in 2002 and became an instant hit at Fratton Park.
He eventually signed a permanent deal in the summer of 2003 but was hampered by injury problems that ruled him out of first team action for almost a season and a half.
He had loan spells with Sheffield United and Plymouth Argyle as he battled his way back to full fitness and joined Stoke City on a free transfer in June 2006.
He has since had loan spells with Southampton and Millwall before he finally made his way up north in a bid to kick-start his career.
