GRAND PRIZE GIVEAWAY
A brand new car is among more than £20,000 worth of prizes which are being given away over the festive period by Carlisle United's Lottery department, starting tonight.
The 'festive red' Honda Jazz vehicle will be won by a lucky Carlisle United supporter during a half-time draw at the Blues' Boxing Day fixture against Huddersfield Town.
The winner will emerge from a shortlist of 10 people already drawn from members of United's Premier Club lottery, which costs just £2 a week to play.
The celebrations will actually get underway for another lucky United fan this Friday when a £1,000 Christmas draw prize is paid out in the club's Blues Lotto, which costs only £1 a week to play.
Blues Lotto pays out a £100 prize EVERY day of the week throughout the year and also awards a series of consolation prizes, as well as special bonuses every other month, including a grand at Christmas.
A further £5,000 Christmas jackpot prize was also being made tonight as part of the Premier Club's December payout, which also includes a £1,000 winner and three consolation prizes, also being drawn tonight. Five prizes are paid out each month by the Premier Club, with a minumum top prize of £1,000.
United's promotions and lottery manager Ewan Wood said: "It is an incredible amount of prizemoney to be paying out in such a short space of time. Fans who join our lotteries - whether that's the Blues Lotto or Premier Club - really have a great chance of winning some fantastic prizes all year round."
While one of the shortlisted Premier Club members will drive away from Brunton Park with a new car on Boxing Day, all of them will be winners as they are each being invited to the game with a partner as VIP guests, which means unrivalled hospitality.
Ewan added: "This alone is worth more than £100 and includes a meal, seat for the match, programme and drinks."
Signing up to the Premier Club also entitles you to attend members' forums in the Sunset Suite at Brunton Park, the most recent one being held tonight and attended by United's first team manager Greg Abbott, his assistant Dennis Booth and club owner David Allen.
