The Premier Club draw for October has been made but the winner of this month's star prize of £1000 remains a closely guarded secret.

Lottery manager Ewan Wood explained: "I rang up the gentleman in question and his wife answered the phone. When I explained why I was ringing she asked if we could keep it as a surprise, and we were happy to do this.

"The gentleman is coming to the match on Saturday and he will be presented with the cheque at half time but, of course, he doesn't know that yet. We will update the website with his name at the weekend."
