United fan Kerry Ingleton from Carlisle was handed a lovely Christmas surprise on Friday morning when she received a call from Promotions and Lottery manager Ewan Wood to inform her that she had won £500 in the annual Premier Club Christmas draw.

Kerry immediately agreed to come down to Brunton Park to receive her cheque ... and a scream could be heard right through the corridors when she found out she'd been tricked and that her prize was actually worth £5,000!

Manager Greg Abbott was on hand to present the cheque, and he said: "We can tell from the reaction that we've just made someone very happy, and it's lovely to see.

"It's nice to be able to hand over something like that because you can tell it has genuinely made a difference. A pat on the back goes to Kerry for winning and to our Premier Club for continuing to come up with some fantastic prizes, year on year."
