United legend Hugh McIlmoyle is back with his opinion on the Walsall game:

"I was a bit disappointed by the result on Tuesday - we should have buried them in the first half.

I have just watched all those chances again and it's unbelievable! There must have been six really good chances.

The goal we scored was worth the admission money alone, but we should have had the game wrapped up.

In the second half I always had the feeling that Walsall were going to score albeit that it was a dodgy penalty. The referee was in a good position though. The trouble started before he got into the box as he (Zaaboub) had run through a few of our players and nobody tackled him. Then when he got into the box he was going at a fair speed - one little touch and that's it, over he goes!

We just needed a bit more composure in front of goal. A second goal for us and I don't think Walsall would have come back from being two down.

They pushed the ball around quite well but they didn't have a lot of punch up front. In this game though, if you create chances but don't take them then it does tend to rebound on you.

I was impressed with Lewis Neal - especially in the first half. He looks very tricky and direct. It is great to see Chris Lumsdon back too."
