GOING ALONG WELL
United legend Hugh McIlmoyle gave us his opinion on the Leicester game:
"I thought we were unlucky not to get anything out of the match as we had put the effort in. Certainly we deserved a draw.
Leicester were a good team, they looked very sharp and pushed the ball around well. Had we played anyone else the way we played on Saturday then we would probably have beaten them so I am a little disappointed.
I enjoyed the match - it was very absorbing and it shows how close matches are as we so nearly went two up but almost immediately they equalised.
Leicester played with bags of confidence though - even when they went a goal down - they played like a team on a winning run. It's easy to see why they are top of the League.
I'm sure that if we put on more performances like we did on Saturday then we will soon shoot back up the table. I think things are going along well.
I was very impressed with Leicester and the way they played but I think the goalkeeper went way over the top late on in the match.
Yes, I know Michael Bridges showed his studs a bit but they way he rolled around afterwards like he'd been shot was a bit poor. I'm sure Michael would have been booked anyway but I don't like to see players trying to get another player booked.
Until Danny Graham scored, I was the last Carlisle United player to score against Leicester - and that was back in our First Division season in a one-all draw at Filbert Street. We should have won that game too!
May I take this opportunity to wish all Carlisle United fans a really happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year."
