United legend Hugh McIlmoyle shares his thoughts on the 1-0 win over Cheltneham:
"The match wasn't as exciting as the week before (against Brighton) but we deserved the three points.
The second half saw a better performance from us where the first half looked like two teams that were a bit frightened of each other. After the break we came out more determined and made more chances, brought the wingers inmto the game more and got our reward.
It was a good win but you are always wary when it's a one-nothing match that the opposition will nick a lucky goal. Or even a headed own goal! We were right in line with that and you could see it happening almost in slow-motion with the keeper coming out and Keogh stretching to head it.
I wonder what would have happened if it had gone in instead of hitting the bar - would our players heads have gone down? When you're having a bad run, it can often take just that little bit of luck to change things around - perhaps that incident is the bit of luck we needed. It could just be the turning point of the season and the lads can kick on from here.
The goal, when it came, was a really well worked goal. I thought that Kavanagh had a really good game - in fact he has done really well for us all the time he has been here.
More importantly though is the fact that we have kept a clean sheet - the team can take a lot of confidence from that. The goalkeeper didn't have a lot to do but what he did, he did well and confidently.
We need to have a bit more composure in the final third as we should have scored more than just the one on Saturday. The team spirit is good. I was pleased to see that Simon Hackney when he lost the ball, chased back almost to his own area to get it back.
Danny Graham kept chasing things down and he got the keeper really rattled - on another day, one of those deflections could have gone in the back of the net!
Certainly their keeper was having a shout at his defenders and they were having a go back - they were quite rattled, and their confidence dropped. This can sometimes be the difference between winning and losing and is all down to the team spirit on our side.
There's a long way to go this season yet and we're not out of the woods but, if we can keep the home performances up, then we should do alright."
