Hugh McIlmoyle shares his thoughts with us for the last time this season:

"What a disappointment and a shock. We were getting ready for extra time and possibly penalties, and then that happens!

We're just stunned really - woke up this morning and the disappointment is still there. All in all though we've had a good season - it's just a shame it ended the way it did. It was a really sudden end with it being such a late goal - all of a sudden, that's it ... end of season!

Both sets of players gave their all and looked exhausted towards the end of the game, and it could have gone either way. Leeds probably had more possession than we did and certainly more shots on goal - Keiren had quite a few good saves to make. The early goal was the one that settled them down and gave them the confidence to push on.

It's been a really good season, no doubt about that. There is a tinge of disappointment there though, because of the position that we were in - automatic promotion at one point and then on Thursday we were favourites to get to the final. However Leeds looked a better team on Thursday than they did on Monday, but then we were better on Monday than Thursday.

It was the first match that I can remember where neither side has brought on a substitute. Possibly both managers were looking to extra time and penalties.

I'm pleased with the way the season has gone and I was pleased with the fans on Thursday as they made plenty of noise. Now we can look forward to next season where the manager can have a full pre-season to assemble his team and put his plans in to action. Hopefully we'll see a few new faces coming in and we'll see what happens. I think that Leicester and MK Dons will be the teams to watch next season.
