More from legend Hugh McIlmoyle:

"I really enjoyed the game on Monday - it was a good game to watch even if you were a neutral supporter. We just seem to be getting better as each game passes, and this nicely coincides with Doncaster and Swansea having a wee dip in their form. We've won seven and drawn two of the last nine matches, and this has come just at the right time. On Monday we worked really, really hard and got the result we deserved.

I thought Northampton were a decent team and they pushed it around well, and were pretty to watch, but they didn't have that little edge. This is the difference between mid-table and top of the table. We wanted it more. The danger is that we could get just that bit complacent, but I'm sure the management won't let that happen.

I thought the crowd were excellent - just over 9000 - and they were very supportive of the team too. The offer of the children getting in free is a good thing - this is the way to attract the youngsters, and hopefully they will want to carry on going down. We can all remember our first game - I can certainly remember going to see Greenock Morton as a youngster when the bairns would be lifted over the turnstyles - just like players can remember their professional debut (for Leicester v West Ham).

I was very pleased with the lads on Monday - over the season they've worked very hard to get to this position. I like the way they encourage each other throughout the game. I was delighted with the crowd's send-off for Cleveland Taylor when he was substituted, and I'm sure the lad was pleased with it too. He had a good game so that will do his confidence the power of good.

I was pleased when the first goal went in - thank goodness for that! But after a minute or two you then think we could do with another one! Goals are coming from all over now - Danny Livesey is on quite a run of scoring at present, which is great to see. Danny Graham read the back-pass well and the cut-back was perfect - even then, Marc had plenty of work still to do to score, but he is playing with so much confidence now that he took his chance well.

It's looking good - and it's all in our own hands!"
