United legend Hugh McIlmoyle shares more of his post-match thoughts:

It was a cracking match on Saturday between two evenly matched teams, and the best game I have enjoyed at Brunton Park for a few months.

With hindsight, there was always going to be just one goal in it, and it was us who wanted the win a bit more. We got the goal at the right time, just before half time and, in the second half, Doncaster kept the ball well. There were times when we couldn't get it off them, but we stuck to our task well. Overall we had more clear-cut chances than they did.

I was impressed with Grant Smith and I thought he put through some lovely passes for Simon Hackney which, on another day, he would have scored from. Still, one-nothing against a team which has been on such a good run of form away from home is a good result. When it comes to home matches, though, we are the form team in the whole of the League. Eleven home wins on the trot is a major achievement - thirty three points from the last eleven home games - and our away form has got to change soon.

I was surprised that Joe Garner played in midfield, but it was a good, disciplined performance from him, and it worked out well because we got the three points. It's not often you put your top goal-scorer into midfield, but it obviously worked.

Sometimes changing your way of playing can backfire on you, but it certainly didn't in this case. We made plenty of chances despite the change in style, which is good news. The goal was the result of an excellent run by Cleveland Taylor - and I thought he looked a lot more comfortable - and Danny Graham did well to slot it away.

The fans seemed to enjoy the game on Saturday, and it was a really good team performance.

It was good to see a bigger crowd turn up for this match and they were very supportive of the team. It's one of those things that many years further on, the fans can say they were there when Carlisle United went eleven, twelve, thirteen home games without dropping a point! Let's hope it continues.
