KEEPER RETURNS TO CARLISLE

Posted on: Tue 31 Jan 2006

Anthony Williams
Keeper comes home
United keeper Tony Williams has returned to Brunton Park 10 days early from his loan spell at Gigg Lane, after speaking to United manager Paul Simpson.

The 28 year old, who joined United in the summer, agreed to a one month loan deal on 9 January but the spell with Bury didn't really work out for either party, and Williams has been allowed to return to Brunton Park.

He played in 3 games for the Shakers, starting off with a good 3-2 win over Torquay, but that was followed by defeats at the hands of Boston and high flying Northampton Town.

We'll bring reaction to the decision from Paul Simpson later.
