Carlisle favourite Hugh McIlmoyle runs the rule over the Stockport match:
"That was tremendous but also unexpected as Stockport came here off the back of a good win last weekend.
I'm glad we won, though, and with such a good performance. We did all the right things - three of the goals were from the ball being within ten yards from goal.
We got behind the back three or four consistently yesterday. It has to be said, though, that their keeper helped us a lot - I thought he looked the part early on with him being a big keeper but it didn't turn out that way.
I like the 4-2-4 formation and it seemed to me that Lumsdon and Billy benefited from the extra space to play in - they had much more freedom in their play. We were oozing with confidence. We haven't made many chances at home this season but we had a barrow-load on Saturday. The management will tell the players to play like that every week.
Karl Hawley - the Man of the Match - was outstanding. He leads the line really well and he is getting better with every match he plays. He has a terrific shot and the goals will just flow for him.
Simon Hackney shone brilliantly - he really is going to be a big star. Chris Lumsdon's corners were good on Saturday - they are very hard to defend against - I'm surprised we only scored from one of them. I felt sorry for Simon Grand as he'd waited for ages to start a match and then he has to go off after twenty minutes. However, Danny Livesey was a more than adequate replacement. In fact we have a good squad where we can bring on substitutes without lessening the overall team strength.
I was pleased to see another big crowd and they will come back with that kind of entertainment on show. I like to see us in the Play-off places and if we can be strong at home and pick up points away from home then we should be able to stay in this position."
