POSITIVE ACTION TAKEN

Posted on: Mon 03 Oct 2005

Carlisle United Football Club are generally very happy with the stewarding policy put in place, and acted upon, on Saturday.

Five of the thirteen people that caused us some concern following the review of the incidents at the Leyton Orient game have been identified and they now have until 5pm on Friday to explain their actions from that day.  The club will then decide what action is to be taken.

Unfortunately, we are disappointed to have to report that we found three people in the car park using threatening behaviour towards the away supporters at the Bristol Rovers game. Our stewards caught up with the individuals concerned and, again, the club will make a decision on what action is appropriate by the end of this week.

It is important to realise that these incidents involve a miniscule percentage of our home fans.  The vast majority always have been, and always will be, a great credit to our club.
