STRIKER EXTENDS LOAN SPELL

Posted on: Tue 07 Sep 2010

United forward Andy Cook has extended his loan-spell with Barrow for a further month.

Cook, 19, had a stay with the Bluebirds last season where he scored three times in four appearances, and made a return to the Blue Square Premier side at the start of this campaign.

Manager Greg Abbott said: "Barrow are treating Andy really well and this will keep him involved closely with first team action which possibly wouldn't be the case with us at the moment.

"We know that they are using a slightly different formation at the moment, but Dave Bayliss and Darren Sheridan think very highly of him and we know that he'll be given his chance."

As is standard with second-month loan spells Cook is subject to a 24-hour recall clause.
