Forward Ben Marshall joined United earlier this week for his second loan spell from Premier League side Stoke City and we caught up with him to get his reaction to the move.
He said: "It's great to be back at the club and I can't wait for to get started now.
"I really enjoyed my spell here last season so it didn't take me long to decide whether to come back again. It's a good opportunity for me to get games playing at a decent standard of football.
"The gaffer was really good to me during my loan spell here last season and that did help in making my decision. I also knew how well the team had been doing this season and wanted to be a part of that. I realise that means it'll be tough to get into the team but that's a challenge I'm looking forward to facing.
"Last time I joined the club on-loan I'd only played at League Two level so it was a bit of a learning curve for me making the step up. But this time around I've got a much better idea as to what it's all about, I've played 20 games at this level and I'm ready to hit the ground running.
"I knew there was going to be a mix of faces I knew and faces I didn't when I went into the dressing room but the atmosphere is not much different from last season. All the lads are really easy to get on with. There's plenty of mickey taking and banter that takes place but it's all good fun and you've got to give as good as you get.
"Tony Pulis told me I'd done well here last season and said it would be good for me to go out and get some more games again. I went on Stoke's pre-season camp in Austria and that was really tough but at the same time very rewarding. It's helped me a lot and I feel in even better shape than I did last season. I know I'm more than ready to come in do well if I'm needed.
"I didn't actually realise that we could possibly go top this weekend if we win so that's been a nice surprise. Last season we were bobbing about in mid-table a bit but being up near the top is a totally different challenge and one I can't wait to face.
"I'm just chomping at the bit to get involved and hopefully help us pick up three points to keep us up near the top of the division."
