Attendance: -  5,689

1657 - A fair result in the end as both sides take a share of the spoils. Both keepers were rarely tested as neither side managed to win the battle in midfield. It does however keep United's unbeaten record going ahead of the big game at Hillsborough next weekend against Sheffield Wednesday. I'll be there with minute by minute coverage so if you can't make it, join me for the afternoon!

FULL-TIME - Carlisle United 0 Swindon Town 0

90+2 min - Another shocker from Austin. A cross from the right by McGovern sees Chester misjudge the ball and Austin is in, but he swings at it and scuffs his shot wide.

90+1 min - What a miss by Austin! A hopeful punt forward from Sheenan sees Ball dummy the ball, catching out Chester and putting Austin clean through. Collin comes out to close him down and somehow, the Robins forward fires it well over the bar. He'll be having nightmares about that one for a long time.

90 min - The fourth official has indicated there will be a minimum of four minutes added time at the end of the game.

89 min - Low ball from the left by Robson is sliced behind by Cuthbert. Berrett goes over and takes it but it's cleared out as far as Thirlwell. He finds Berrett who in turn sets up Robson for the cross which finds Chester, but he can't get over the ball and heads it over the bar for a goal kick.

86 min - Berrett whips in a decent ball that Michalik gets a slight flick on to, but it goes harmlessly wide of Lucas' left-hand post.

85 min - McDaid does well to win a cross field ball and then goes in for a challenge with Amankwaah in which he comes off second best. It's a free-kick to United on the left about 30 yards out.

81 min - Yet another corner to United as Cutberb blocks Marshall's cross on the right. Berrett steps up and takes a right-footed outswinger that's headed out as far as Thirlwell who nods it down for Madine but his left-foot volley on the turn is miles over the bar.

79 min - Swindon attack down the right and McGovern's cross finds Ball who lays it off for Douglas on the edge of the box but his effort is well over Collin's crossbar.

78 min - United make their second change with Tom Taiwo coming off for Matty Robson.

76 min - United nearly caught out by a long ball as Ball is played through but Collin comes out and gets a slight touch on it, with Michalik clearing before it can roll into the empty net.

74 min - Nearly a chance for Madine there as he gets to a long ball down the left and tries to poke it past an onrushing Lucas, but the Swindon keeper makes himself big and blocks it well.

73 min - Swindon make their final change as Michael Timlin comes off for former United loanee Alan O'Brien.

72 min - Michalik is caught out on the United right as he tries to watch the ball out of play and McGovern nips in to get the ball. He gets to the byline and plays in Ball, who in turn plays it to the edge of the box where a Swindon player sees a shot blocked by Michalik. Good recovery from the United defender.

68 min - Marshall is right into the action now as he wins a corner on the right. The ball in is cleared out but Simek wins it on the left and plays in Curran. He finds Madine whose low cross finds Marshall but his shot is blocked and goes for another corner. Berrett takes it but it doesn't beat the first man.

67 min - Good covering from Michalik as he tackles Austin to give Swindon a corner. The corner is defended well at first but the second ball back in from a Swindon player is a beauty and has Collin scrambling, but it's out for a goal kick on the far side.

66 min - A scuffed goal kick from Adam Collin gives Swindon a chance to put the pressure on but McDaid superbly knees the ball behind from a cross by Timlin. The corner from Swindon is well defended by United. Meanwhile, The Blues make their first change as Francois Zoko comes off for Ben Marshall.

64 min - Lovely cross from the right by Taiwo is looking for Madine but Amankwaah superbly heads over his own bar under pressure. Berrett takes a right-footed outswinger and it's better this time, finding Michalik but his header is wide of goal. Swindon take the opportunity to make second change and it's former United man Vincent Pericard who comes off to a good ovation from the home crowd, being replaced by David Ball.

62 min - United try to hit the Robins on the counter attack as Zoko superbly brings down a long ball. He plays in Madine whose low cross is looking for Curran but Morrison almost turns it into his own net, only for a superb instinct save from Lucas to spare his blushes.

58 min - Corner from the right by Berrett finds Madine who heads it down to the edge of the box but Taiwo has to tackle to win it, with Michalik eventually winning another corner on the left. Berrett takes it again but it's a poor one and headed away by Cuthbert.

56 min - Good lofted cross from the right by McGovern finds Austin but his header is straight into the arms of Collin. United switched off a bit there.

54 min - Swindon make their first change of the afternoon, with Callum Kennedy coming off for Alan Sheenan.

53 min - Today's attendance is 5,689.

52 min - Another corner to United and Berrett's right-footed outswinger is a good one, forcing Cuthbert to put it out for a throw-in on the far side with Zoko waiting to tap in.

51 min - Good work down the right by Austin for Swindon and he picks out McGovern on the overlap. His cross finds Pericard but he scuffs his volley into the ground and Collin claims it easily.

50 min - Brilliant work down the right again by Curran and his low ball to Zoko is intercepted and goes behind for a corner. Berrett takes it and gets the ball into the area but it's headed behind for another corner by Cuthbert. Berrett takes it again and Madine heads it down for Zoko to play it back to Berrett, who chips it to Michalik but he can't get enough power into his header and it's held by Lucas.

48 min - He's a hard man to knock down, Francois, and the United forward is now back on the pitch.

47 min - Zoko tries to skip past the challenge of Morrison but he's brought down by the Robins defender. The ref doesn't think it's a foul though and play goes on, with the United man down injured. Eventually Ferry puts it out of play and the Ivorian can receive some treatment.

1606 - Both sides are now back out and it's the Robins who get the second half underway.

1605 - Bit of a long half-time break here but United are now back out on the pitch. The Robins are still in the dressing room at the moment.

1550 - Decent game so far here at Brunton Park and the scoreline at half-time reflects the balance of play quite well. Both sides have had chances but no real clear cut ones as yet. The midfield battle has been a good one between the two sides and I'd suspect the winner of that will dictate who comes out on top this afternoon. More from me shortly.

HALF-TIME - Carlisle United 0 Swindon Town 0

40 min - End to end is very much the phrase to describe the first half as United now go up the other end and win a corner. Berrett takes it but it's well defended again by the Robins. Not long after, Amankwaah is robbed of possession on the left by Zoko who gets into the area but his cut back to Curran isn't the best and the United man's poked effort is blocked by Cuthbert.

39 min - Superb cross from the left leaves Collin stranded but Austin can't get anything on it and McDaid puts it behind for a corner. It's taken by McGovern, but Madine superbly heads it away under pressure.

36 min - Berrett takes it again and it's a good one into the six yard box that is superbly headed away under pressure by Kennedy. He's down with a head injury though and referee Mr Miller stops the game.

35 min - Corner to United as Kennedy blocks Simek's cross from the right. Berrett takes a right-footed outswinger that Zoko attacks but it's headed behind for another corner by a Robins defender.

33 min - Just having a bit of a scrappy period right now but both teams are still giving plenty and it's been a very close contest so far.

27 min - This really is end to end stuff and a long ball forward is headed down superbly by Pericard for McGovern, but he smashes his volley from the edge of the area wide of Collin's goal.

26 min - Cuthbert looks to shepherd the ball out of play for a goal kick but thanks to pressure from Madine, he puts it behind for a corner. It's taken right-footed inswinging by Berrett and Lucas comes but flaps at it, with Kennedy eventually clearing it to safety.

24 min - Right up the other end and United now have a corner after good work from Curran. It's Berrett who takes it and his right-footed outswinger is looking for Madine but he's shoved and the ball eventually finds Chester, but his looping header is held well by Lucas.

23 min - It's taken by Callum Kennedy who finds Sean Morrison, but his header goes wide of Collin's goal.

22 min - Plenty of action in this game so far and it's another corner to Swindon now as Chester blocks Timlin's cross from the left.

20 min - Austin is played in on the right and he's miles onside this time. Berrett gets back to put some pressure on him but it's a dreadful shot from the Swindon forward, dragging it well wide of Collin's goal.

18 min - Austin is also played clean through on goal but the referee's assitant flags very quickly for offside. Looked like the right decision from up here.

17 min - A punt forward from Chester sees Curran miss the ball but it falls nicely for Zoko. He's just got Amankwaah to beat and he turns him on the edge of the area but the Robins defender recovers well and manages to block the Ivorian's shot, making the save easy for Lucas.

16 min - United are starting to put the pressure on and Kennedy is forced to head behind from a Simek cross. Berrett takes a right-footed outswinger corner that Michalik heads back to him but the second cross is poor and easily headed away by Amankwaah.

15 min - Good determination down the right from Curran sees the United forward win the ball before sending in a cross that's looking for Zoko, but again Lucas comes and claims well.

14 min - Madine is flattened by Cuthbert as he tries to bring down a long ball from Collin and it's a free-kick to United about 40 yards out on the right. Berrett takes it and unsurprisingly looks for Michalik at the far post, but Lucas comes and claims well under pressure from the big Slovakian.

11 min - Poor touch from a Swindon defender sees the ball go behind for a United corner. It's taken by Berrett who looks for Chester but his marker watches him well and heads the ball away.

9 min - Corner to Swindon as Michalik puts the ball behind after a good cross from Amankwaah. It's McGovern who goes over and takes a right-footed outswinger that finds Cuthbert, but he's penalised for climbing all over his marker and it's a free-kick to United.

1 min - United have an early corner as Berrett's cross comes off Amankwaah's hand and goes behind. It's Berrett who takes a right-footed inswinger that Madine and Michalik are both inches away from getting on the end of but they can't quite reach it and the ball goes out for a goal kick.

1502 - So with the pre-match pleasantries over, it's going to be United to kick-off, attacking the Petteril End in the first half. Taiwo and Curran get us underway.

1458 - The two teams are now out on the pitch and taking part in the usual line-ups and handshakes. One thing that stands out from the line-ups is the size of our new defender Michalik... he certainly had the weetabix when he was younger! He towers over Simek next to him. It's even more obvious how tall he is where Tom Taiwo is anywhere near him!

1450 - As you may have seen on the official site yesterday, the players were filmed in front of a green screen a couple of weeks ago for the new line-up shots on the big screen. It's just had it's debut and I have to say, looked pretty smart! Easy to tell which players couldn't keep a straight face though!

1442 - As you may or may not be aware, the club have launched a new magazine this week. United Scene will be released every two months and is packed full of interesting features, including exclusive interviews with Matty Robson and Norwich City captain (and Carlisle lad!) Grant Holt. Available for £3.95 from the Blues Store as well as outlets around the city and county. A full list of where you can get the magazine will be on the official site next week.

1437 - Speaking of the JPT, United have been drawn at home to Port Vale in the second round of this year's competition. No exact date has been sorted but it will take place in the week commencing 4 October. Keep an eye on the official site for that.

1432 - Visitors Swindon Town have decided to stick with the side that beat holders Southampton 3-0 in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in midweek, and that means a start for former United man Vincent Pericard up front. Midfielder David Prutton takes his place on the bench after serving a one-match suspension and former United loanee Alan O'Brien is also amongst the subs.

1430 - So, after the departure of Ian Harte to Reading in midweek, United make a change to the starting line-up for the first time this season, with new loan signing, Leeds United defender Lubomir Michalik, taking Harte's place at the centre of the defence. A couple of changes on the bench, with Jason Price returning from injury and Ben Marshall making a welcome return on-loan from Stoke City.

1425 - Afternoon everyone and welcome to today's min by min report, hopefully working fine this time after the problems we had for the MK Dons game! United take on last season's play-off finalists Swindon Town today and the line-ups for both sides are now at the top of the page.
