GREG ABBOTT FREEVIEW

Manager Greg Abbott spoke to the press on Thursday about the pending visit of last season's losing play-off finalists Swindon Town.

He said: "I'm glad that the transfer window is now closed because it means that we can concentrate on Saturday.

"We watched Swindon last week and we felt that they were a team that was probably low in confidence at that stage.

"With the patch they were going through they are a team that we would look for a positive result from, but the result they got in mid-week will have given them a real lift.

"We have to be wary of that but we are still positive about the way that we think we can approach the game and about the way that we want to play.

"Swindon are a really good side and we can't take anything for granted. They are well organised and difficult to beat, and their forwards get them a lot of goals. If we can deal with that and concentrate on our game then we think that we'll cause them a few problems as well.

"For our own part we are very happy with the type of performance that we have been putting in. We're creating some good chances and playing good football at the moment, and we want that to continue. I think this will definitely be an attractive game to watch.

"It's going to be good to see big Vincent come back and it'll be nice to welcome him into the club again. He got his goals in the JPT and that will have given him confidence. We have a lot of time for him here but hopefully it will be a quiet game for him. I'm sure he'll get a nice reception from our fans but they'll also be hoping that it's a game where it doesn't quite happen for him.

"Obviously it's been a week of change for us player wise, and we have previously been able to name unchanged sides, but we think that we have made some good additions to the squad, not just this week but right through the summer.

"What we want to do now is get back to the business of playing our football and hopefully continuing the good start that we have had to the season."
