United manager Greg Abbott spoke to us shortly after full time on Saturday.
He said: "It was a fairly rowdy dressing room at half time.
"I wasn't particularly pleased with the first half hour and then we got the spark from the incident with Ian Harte that lifted the crowd.
"That in turn lifted the players and we were hard to deal with after that.
"I didn't see the incident itself, but Karl [Robinson] said that Ian had put his arm across Easter. It couldn't have been an out-and-out elbow because the lad would have been badly hurt, and he just wasn't.
"I tried to speak to the fourth official and ask him to leave Karl on the pitch, because I've been in that situation myself. Your frustration can boil over, and that's all it was, so I didn't think there was a problem there.
"I was pleased for Francois Zoko because he works exceptionally hard. He has ability, and that's great, but he also puts in a shift and he makes things happen. The fans have taken to that and long may it continue.
"I thought the first 20 minutes of the second half was fantastic. MK Dons keep getting on the back of our good performances and they must be a bit hacked off with us.
"We wanted to keep a clean sheet but I'm maybe being a bit too critical there.
"Our forwards are complementing each other really well at the moment. Gary Madine is getting better and better and Craig Curran is a dream to work with. We want Craig to get a goal because he deserves one, and we know that they'll come for him with the way that he's playing.
"Gary Madine was near enough unplayable and I would say it was his best performance so far in a Carlisle United shirt. If he keeps maturing in the way that he is now as a person then he is going to be one heck of a footballer.
"We actually wanted to creep along and do our business quietly but that's impossible when you are sat where we are. If we keep doing this then people will really start to sit up and take notice, but it's up to us to keep going and keep picking up points.
"Our first target is 50 points as quickly as we can and we can see where we go from there."
