2140 - Brave effort by United tonight but Huddersfield dealed a sucker punch at the end to grab the win. Plenty of positives to take from the game though and now it's off on the longest away journey of the season, Plymouth Argyle, for another tough test. 90+4 min - Corner to United as Madine is challenged in the box. Collin comes up for it and Berrett seems to aim it for him but it's cleared to the edge of the box, where McDaid hits a shot well wide of goal.

90+2 min - United make their second change, with Bridge-Wilkinson on for Thirlwell.

90 min - Fourth official has indicated there will be a minimum of four minutes added time at the end of the game.

89 min - GOAL! Carlisle United 0 Huddersfield Town 1 - Sucker punch for United, as Novak gets in behind the defence and plays it to Rhodes, who calmly slots it past Collin.

88 min - Biggest cheer of the evening as Joe Garner is taken off for Lee Novak. I think that might be precautionary from Lee Clark after that challenge on Harte. He's been an absolute nuisance this evening has the former United man, but was starting to lose patience as Harte marked him out of the game.

87 min - Harte and Garner go for an aerial ball and the Huddersfield forward leads with an elbow, catching Harte. Garner makes a meal of "his" injury and Harte doesn't, so the former Blues man can consider himself lucky to only get a booking for it. 

85 min - Berrett tries his luck from 25 yards but he slices his left-foot shot well wide of goal.

82 min - United make their first change, with Matty Robson coming on for Francois Zoko.

80 min - Chester and Rhodes tangle for a ball and it falls for Garner, who does a swan dive to end all swan dives but the ref gives nothing and Pilkington gets the ball but drags his shot well wide of Collin's goal. Garner, not for the first time tonight, takes the brunt of the anger from the United fans!

79 min - Inexplicably, McCombe shoves Zoko 25 yards out dead central and it's a free-kick to United. Harte stands over it and he curls it over the wall but just wide of Smithies post. The Huddersfield keeper would have had no chance if that had been just inside the post.

77 min - Huddersfield make their second change, with Gary Roberts coming off for Graham Carey.

76 min - A charging run from Simek is uncerimoniously haulted by Johnson and it's a free-kick to United about 20 yards out on the right-hand corner of the penalty box. Harte whips it in but it's straight at Smithies who holds onto it.

74 min - Berrett takes this one and it's a much better ball, finding Madine who loses his marker but can't get over the ball and it flies over the crossbar.

73 min - Crossfield ball by Harte finds Simek and his cross hits Naysmith and goes behind for a corner. Berrett goes over and takes a right-footed outswinger but it's too low and Gudjonsson heads it behind for another corner. Bit of a delay though as the ref has a word with Harte and Peltier for some argy-bargy.

71 min - Foul by Tom Taiwo on, yes, that man Garner and the United player is booked.

70 min - This time it's McCombe who misjudges a long ball from Berrett and Madine is away down the left. He plays it to Curran, who takes a touch and turns, but his shot is blocked and behind for a corner.  Berrett takes it but it's well cleared.

69 min - James Chester is beaten to the ball by Pilkington 35 yards out and the Huddersfield midfielder takes a touch before hammering a superb shot onto the cross bar, with the ball rebounding to safety. Collin was well beaten there.

68 min - Foul on Madine by Pilkington and it's a free-kick to United, bringing ironic cheers from the Brunton Park faithful. Harte takes it and sends in a low shot that Smithies does well to hold on to.

67 min - The corner from Huddersfield was easily cleared.

66 min - Garner wins another free-kick for a soft challenge by McDaid. The free-kick from Gudjonsson is easily claimed by Collin, but his attempt at a quick kick is blocked and although he eventually clears it, Naysmith sends in a quick cross that Rhodes heads onto the bar. It comes down to Garner who hits a low shot that's going in, only for McDaid to somehow scoop it up over his own bar. Brilliant defending.

65 min - Corner from Berrett on the left is well cleared but it comes out to the right where it's swung back in and Chester just heads wide of goal.

64 min - Good play by McDaid to win the ball and he plays it to Madine. He cuts inside from the left before smashing a right-foot shot that Smithies scrambles across goal to tip behind for a corner.

63 min - Curran does brilliantly on the right to win the ball and he's away down the wing. He sends in a low cross looking for Madine but Naysmith makes an acrobatic block and it's another corner to United. The corner from Berrett is long to the far post looking for Madine who heads it down but it's blocked again and cleared.

60 min - Good bit of pressure from United as Zoko sets Berrett away. He cuts it back to Taiwo on the edge of the box and his curling shot is very well blocked by a Huddersfield defender, with Madine also seeing a header blocked from McDaid's cross into the box not long after.

58 min - Corner to Huddersfield on the left as Thirlwell blocks a Roberts cross. Gudjonsson takes it but it's well cleared by the United defence.

57 min - Huddersfield make their first change, with Scott Arfield coming off for Damien Johnson.

56 min - The corner from Berrett on the other side goes all the way and Thirlwell claims it. He finds Taiwo who sets McDaid away and he hits a powerful cross that Zoko just heads over the bar.

55 min - Cross from the left by McDaid sees Naysmith nearly head into his own goal but it goes behind for a corner. Berrett takes it long to the far post where Madine heads it back across goal and Clarke is forced to head behind for another corner.

54 min - Garner heads it down from a long free-kick by Naysmith and Roberts tries a spectacular shot but volleys it well over the bar.

53 min - Garner plays in Peltier down the right and he skips past McDaid before hitting a powerful low cross that almost sneaks in but it's a very good stop by Collin. The corner for Huddersfield, again from Gudjonsson, is well headed away.

49 min - Corner to Huddersfield after the goal goes behind off Simek. Gudjonsson takes it and swings it in but it's over everyone and despite Roberts claiming it on the far side, he takes the ball behind and it's a goal kick. Up the other end and Madine sees a shot on the edge of the area blocked but then hits a low left footed effort just wide, with Smithies scrambling to get to it. 

46 min - Tonight's attendance is 3,475.

2049 - Both teams are now back out and it looks like there's no changes for either side. Huddersfield get us underway.

2034 - A very tight contest so far, with both teams not looking to give much away. Plenty of good football on display though, with Frank Simek at right-back probably the stand out performer for United so far. Visitors Huddersfield look a threat every time they go forward, but Harte and Chester have marshalled Garner and Rhodes pretty well so far. Should be an intriuging second half!

45+1 min - Foul on the left to United as Peltier hauls back McDaid. Berrett goes over and whips it in but it's headed straight into the air and eventually claimed by Smithies.

45 min - Fourth official has indicated there will be a minimum of one minute added time at the end of the first half.

44 min - Interesting spot by the Huddersfield press guys - they appear to have changed formation here and are now trying to match the way United are playing. Bit of a compliment to The Blues and the way they've played so far in a pretty even contest.

43 min - Long kick forward from Collin sees Curran force a Huddersfield defender into a mistake and it falls for Madine on the edge of the box, but his half volley is scuffed and goes wide of Smithies' goal.

40 min - Curling shot from the edge of the box by Gudjonsson but Collin had it cover and it's a goal kick.

37 min - Best chance of the evening and Jordan Rhodes will be kicking himself after missing that one. Garner plays a good ball into Roberts on the left and his low left foot cross finds Rhodes but he side foots wide of goal. A foot further to the right and that would have been 1-0.

36 min - Taiwo wins a corner on the right as his cross comes off Naysmith. The corner from Berrett finds Chester but he can only head it up and eventually Huddersfield clear.

35 min - Push on Madine by Naysmith gives United a free-kick about 40 yards out. Harte goes over to take it and sends in a left-footed cross that causes all kinds of problems, with Berrett, Curran and Madine all going close but the Huddersfield defence eventually get it clear.

31 min - Good play by Curran to bring down a long ball and he's into the area but his shot is blocked by a Huddersfield defender and it's a corner to United. Berrett goes over to the left to take a right-footed outswinger that gets into the six yard box but is well headed away by Town defender Clarke.

30 min - Header from McDaid goes behind for yet another Huddersfield corner. Gudjonsson goes over and takes a right-footed outswinger that finds McCombe but his header towards goal is well held by Collin.

26 min - Some very sloppy play from United sees a loose pass set Pilkington away on the right. He sends in a cross to the far post looking for Roberts but Simek gets back and superbly heads over his own bar under pressure. The corner from Gudjonsson on the left comes in and is well headed away by Harte.

24 min - United are starting to win the midfield battle and Thirlwell wins it before playing it to Madine. He finds Simek on the right who sends in a superb cross that has Smithies scrambling to palm it away for a throw-in on the left-wing.

21 min - Bit of head tennis there as Harte and Taiwo flick it up before Madine brings it down and cuts inside from the right before curling a left-foot shot well wide of Smithies' goal.

20 min - Curran wins a corner as his low cross is put behind by Peltier. It's from the left and Berrett goes over and takes a right-footed inswinger that Madine and Curran both challenge for but are well marshalled by the Huddersfield defence.

19 min - Sloppy play up front from Huddersfield as Taiwo nicks the ball and United break down the middle. It's something like five on three, with Thirlwell charging down the middle but as he gets near the edge of the area he opts to shoot and drills it wide of Smithies goal.

15 min - Nearly a bit of a mix-up at the back from Chester there who doesn't get his header in and Rhodes tries to lob Collin from a tight angle but it goes into the side netting.

12 min - Zoko picks up the ball on the left and runs past Peltier who brings him down near the goal line and picks up a booking. The free-kick in from Berrett forces Smithies to punch it away and Huddersfield break after a slip by McDaid. But before Roberts can play Rhodes in, Berrett gets back and makes a fantastic tackle.

10 min - Garner is now getting booed every time he touches the ball. Probably the most predictable thing to happen this evening!

9 min - Garner goes down as Harte challenges and appears to win an aerial ball and the United man gets a booking. Garner stays down for a bit but finally gets up and is told to go off before coming back on. The free-kick is long by Gudjonsson but easily claimed by Collin.

8 min - Another Huddersfield corner as Chester heads it behind. This time Gudjonsson takes it short to Roberts, who plays it inside to Arfield but his curling shot is straight at Collin.

5 min - FIrst free-kick for a foul against Garner this evening and I doubt it'll be the last! It's Gudjonsson who stands over it about 35 yards out and he tries a shot but it's not the best and hits Thirlwell in the wall before being cleared.

4 min - Another corner to Huddersfield as Arfield sees his shot blocked by Harte. The corner's a poor one from Gudjonsson but finds Pilkington, who cuts inside and hits a shot aiming for the top corner but Collin gets across to superbly tip it over the bar. Not sure if it was a cross or shot! The corner from Huddersfield is again a poor one and easily cleared.

3 min - Corner to Huddersfield as McDaid is forced to put the ball behind. Gudjonsson takes it right-footed but his lofted ball looking for Clarke is easily cleared by United.

1 min - Early chance for United as Simek has acres of space down the right. He sends in an early cross to the edge of the box which finds Zoko, but he can't get over the ball and sidefoots it over the bar.

1947 - The two teams are now out and have had the usual line-ups etc. Looks like we will be attacking the Warwick Road End in the first half and it's going to be Craig Curran and Tom Taiwo to get us underway.

1932 - Garner's still waiting to open his account for Huddersfield and it'd be typical if he got his first for them this evening! Maybe you fancy him to open the scoring for the Terriers? 1918 - That of course means that both James Berrett and Joe Garner get the opportunity to play against their former clubs this evening. It's not been a long wait for Berrett, who left Town in the summer to move up to Cumbria, but for Garner it's his first visit to Brunton Park since his departure to Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2008.

1914 - Just speaking to our counterparts from Huddersfield here in the press box and it seems that both sides have both unchanged starting elevens and substitutes from their respective league wins at the weekend. Should be interesting to see how things turn out!
