I'VE ENJOYED IT HERE

Posted on: Fri 23 Apr 2010

On-loan midfielder Ben Marshall spoke to the press on Thursday morning ahead of the trip to Southampton.

He said: "It's been a great expereince for me to get here and play regular first team football.

"All of the lads have been great with me and everyone gets on well with each other. I think I've played well and I've scored a few goals, and I've enjoyed playing on both wings as well.

"I know that Stoke have been watching me to see how I'm getting on and the feedback from them has been good. I think the plan is that I will go back to them for pre-season and then they will make a decision from there. I feel that I'm good enough to make an impact there, but I would also be happy to come back here if that was an option. I've enjoyed it here. That's all in the future though.

"Our next game is Southampton and it's going to be tough, we saw that at Wembley. It'll be good to get the chance to play against them and hopefully play well. I've got three games left to keep showing people what I can do, so I'll be giving it everything. I want to set up and score as many goals as I can, and I want to keep it going, so I'm looking forward to it.

"It'll be a big pitch at Southampton and we can go there and enjoy our football. It was tough to have to sit it out and watch at Wembley so I'm particularly looking forward to it."
