Two Carlisle United fans are celebrating a dream come true after they were named as winners of a national competition to take part in a half time penalty shoot-out at the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium.
Ewan Douglas (10) and Liam Purdham (12) will kick penalties against Southampton mascot Sammy Saint at the match, when Southampton take on Carlisle United in the Final on March 28.
Speaking of his excitement, Ewan said he couldn't believe his luck when he heard that he had won.
He said: "It's just going to be a brilliant day. I'm really looking forward to it and hopefully I will score all of my penalties."
In preparation for the big penalty shoot-out, Ewan and Liam met with the club mascot, Olga the Fox, on Monday at the Johnstone's Decorating Centre at Currock Road, at 4pm.
Gina Laycock, Decorating Centre Marketing Manager for Johnstone's, said: "The uptake for this competition was overwhelming, it has been fantastic. I hope that Ewan and Liam enjoy their day at Wembley and they show everyone what they are made of."
The proud winners received football goodie bags including four tickets to the Final, a personalised Carlisle United football kit and a signed club football.
