Greg Abbott gave us his reaction to the 2-0 victory over Gillingham on Saturday.
He said: "I was sent to the stands because it's something that I felt strongly about.
"What I did wasn't totally without reason because I thought it brought everyone together. It got the fans going and it got the players going and it helped to pull us on a little bit.
"I didn't use any abusive language, but I wanted to make my point. It was a shocking tackle and it's the kind where people break jaws or cheekbones, and the referee just had to see it because it was terrible. I was fuming with the fact that none of the officials reacted and I wanted to know why. You can always tell by the reaction of the opposition and they were a little bit embarrassed. I don't think they'd have liked it if it had been one of our players on their players, so I had to make my point.
"We'll have to wait and see what happens now about my reaction, I just don't know. If the referee says that he has missed it, then that's fair enough, and I admit that I went onto the pitch, but it was just such a shocking challenge. Something should have been done about it.
"That's gone now, but the result from the game was as important for me as anything else. We've got ourselves to 40 points and we have opened up a bit of a gap and we can start to think about consolidation and using it to kick on even higher. We don't want to be dragged into the bottom end at all. We started the game nervy and edgy because of the last three performances but we got the goal and it completely changed things for us.
"We had a slightly different training session ahead of the game where we boxed off every position and we made sure that we all knew our jobs inside out. I think the lads took everything on board and we played well. The move that ended with the save from the Dobie volley is one of the best moves we have seen all season and you can do that when you have a bit of confidence flowing.
"I wanted energy, drive and determination and I got that. Players who were below par previously were back to somewhere near what they can produce and that makes a huge difference. The work that the front two put in was magnificent and that set the tone for the rest of the team, and I thought we looked a good unit at times. There is still plenty to do, but when you have that willingness to put people under pressure you won't go far wrong.
"Gillingham were always going to be tough, as they are scrapping for their lives, and it's pleasing that we dealt with that and earned the right to play our own game."
