Brentford Football Club have confirmed that a Friday morning inspection of the pitch by an FA qualified Referee has shown the Griffin Park pitch to be playable.

Carlisle United will return to League One action for the first time in just under three weeks when they make the trip south tomorrow, and manager Greg Abbott is delighted that the game will go ahead.

He said: "I think both teams will be pleased that this game has beaten the weather.

"We're certainly ready for it, and our Friday morning session will be geared towards the final bits of preparation that we need to do for Saturday. There's always a buzz around the build up to a match, and what we want to do now is get down there and continue the hard work that we were doing towards the end of last year."
